For you, poetry is musical, not only for its words, but for the beat itself. The internal click and buzz of syllables placed carefully. 

Using scansion (great word!) divide up poems you love based on their rhythm using scansion marks.

Print out one of your favorite poems and write in scansion lines.

Requirements:
  • Poem MUST be more than 8 lines long
  • Poem MUST be printed double spaced
  • Printing out the scansion rules can't hurt... (link at the top of this page)
  • Marks must be placed correctly 80% of the time to receive HW credit 
  • You MUST take a picture of your finished project OR scan your finished project and upload the image using the turn in HW button on the front page

Silver
